The UGC NET 2024 exam was held between August 21 and September 4, 2024, in a computer-based format across various Examination centers for 83 subjects. The examination was conducted in two shifts daily. The morning shift was scheduled from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the afternoon shift was scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

UGC NET June 2024 Result: Qualifying scores
- Candidates belonging to the unreserved category will have to score at least 40 per cent marks, while those belonging to the reserved category will have to get a minimum of 35 per cent marks.
- In paper 1 of UGC NET, unreserved category candidates will have to score 40 out of 100 while reserved category candidates have to score 35 out of 100.
- In paper 2, unreserved category candidates will have to obtain 70-75 marks out of 200. The minimum mark is 65 to 70 for OBC and EWS category candidates, for SC it is 60 to 65, and 55 to 60 for ST.
